Rachel's Bio:

I believe leadership and passion are closely related. Katherine Hepurn said "If you have to support yourself, you had bloody well better find some way that is going to be interesting." For most of my professional career I have managed, developed, and built teams for organizations and managed their sales programs and drove revenue streams. Now I am blessed to take my past experiences and apply them to my position as the Executive Director of the Troy Chamber of Commerce. I pride myself on being an active member of my community and helping businesses find the resources they need to be successful. I find serving my community to be the most rewarding part of my job, and I am very thankful that I have the opportunity to have it be apart of my career. I really cannot imagine doing anything else. It takes continual education, growth, and development and I cant think of anything better.

In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, including our two dogs (yep we are crazy). As a family we love sports, hiking, the occasional nerf gun war, and camping. I also like to volunteer for community groups and organizations, and I am thankful I have time to volunteer and give back.

I am beyond lucky, and I look forward to the continual change and development that comes with life, and with my choice of careers!
